Generous funding by a charitable foundation is bringing schools singing back to life after the pandemic, and helping Catholic Dioceses around the UK find junior choristers to fill the ranks of their church choirs again.
Under the NSSP, Catholic Dioceses in the UK can apply for an individual grant of £75,000 to enhance or create their music programmes for children educated in Catholic state schools. Westminster, Northampton, Plymouth and Middlesbrough are among the dioceses already taking part in the scheme, which is based on ground-breaking work by the Diocese of Leeds.
