In 2021 the Society of Women Organists (SWO) inaugurated Woman Composer Sunday, when organists and choral directors are invited to include a piece by a woman composer in that day’s church service, and/or post a performance on social media. They launched it in collaboration with the Royal College of Organists, and together they published a repertoire list of music by women composers, for inspiration.

In 2022, Woman Composer Sunday was on 6 March, and was a joint promotion by SWO and the American Guild of Organists, with another repertoire list: SWO-AGO Recommended Pieces for Women Composers Sunday 2022
Woman Composer Sunday in 2024 will be on Sunday 10 March.
